Commercial Kitchen Equipment is seeking a skilled Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our field service team in Denpasar, Bali. This full time role services and maintains a wide range of commercial kitchen appliances for hotels and restaurants. You will diagnose, repair, install and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate combines hands on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with a customer focused approach, delivering timely, high quality service that minimizes downtime for clients. As part of our service team, you will work on gas and electric kitchen equipment including ranges, fryers, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, hoods and ventilation systems. You will read schematics and manuals, perform preventive maintenance, conduct safety checks and document work performed. You will collaborate with clients to schedule visits, communicate findings and provide clear recommendations. This is a field based role requiring travel within Denpasar and surrounding areas.

Responsibility

  • Perform installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repair of commercial kitchen equipment including ranges, ovens, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, hoods and ventilation systems
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical and control system faults using schematics and diagnostic tools; document findings and actions
  • Conduct routine inspections and safety checks; ensure compliance with sanitation, fire safety and local regulations
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule service visits; communicate issues, recommended repairs and provide accurate quotes
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory; prepare clear service reports and update customer records
  • Collaborate with team leads and other technicians; participate in after hours on call support as required
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment; provide user training to client staff and ensure proper startup
  • Suggest energy efficient improvements and preventive care plans to extend equipment life and reduce downtime

Qualification

  • Proven hands-on experience as a kitchen equipment technician, appliance repair technician, or similar role in hospitality or food-service environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems in commercial kitchen equipment; ability to read schematics and manuals
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills; able to work with clients in Indonesian and English
  • Willingness to be on-call and travel locally to service sites; valid driver's license preferred
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of sanitation regulations and workplace safety standards
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and test equipment; basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation
  • Technical certifications or training in electrical, mechanical, or hospitality equipment maintenance are a plus
