Join PERSOL as a KYC Maker in the East Region of Singapore. In this critical compliance role, you will perform ad-hoc name screening against sanctions, PEP lists, and adverse media databases in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Your work will help protect clients and the business by preventing high-risk activity and supporting responsible growth in a dynamic financial services environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing screening results, escalating confirmed matches, and documenting decision rationales for audits. You will apply risk-based judgment to determine appropriate actions, maintain audit-ready records, and support onboarding and periodic due diligence reviews. You will stay current on sanctions changes and regulatory updates, translating complex rules into clear, actionable outcomes for internal partners. This role leverages advanced screening tools and data sources, with a strong emphasis on data quality and process efficiency.

Responsibility

  • Conduct ad-hoc name screening against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media databases using approved tools and internal policies.
  • Review screening results, document findings, and escalate confirmed matches with clear rationale.
  • Apply risk-based judgment to determine appropriate actions and maintain audit-ready records for regulatory review.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to resolve hits and determine next steps for onboarding and due diligence.
  • Adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, ensuring timely processing and SLA adherence.
  • Stay updated on sanctions changes and regulatory developments, communicating impact to the team.
  • Support data quality efforts and contribute to a robust, transparent screening process.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in KYC or AML, sanctions screening, or financial crime risk within banking or fintech.
  • Solid understanding of KYC/AML regulations and familiarity with sanctions lists and PEP sources.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to data quality.
  • Proficiency with screening tools and MS Office; ability to document cases clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across Compliance, Risk, and Operations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
