As our Laptop Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and service laptops and notebooks across multiple brands. You will install and configure operating systems, drivers, and essential software, perform hardware replacements (screen, battery, keyboard, RAM, storage, motherboard), and conduct thorough testing to ensure device reliability. You will troubleshoot BIOS/UEFI settings, network connectivity, and software issues, while maintaining data safety and customer privacy. You will also maintain accurate service records, communicate clearly with customers, and provide timely updates on repair progress.

Responsibility

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops and related components across major brands
  • Disassemble and reassemble devices, replacing parts such as screens, batteries, keyboards, RAM, storage, and motherboards with attention to safety and quality
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows and basic Linux) and drivers; optimize performance
  • Run diagnostic tests, verify repairs, and maintain detailed service records in the ticketing system
  • Provide clear, timely communication with customers and colleagues; deliver accurate repair estimates and status updates
  • Perform basic BIOS/UEFI adjustments, hardware diagnostics, and troubleshooting of software and driver issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, manage spare parts inventory, and adhere to safety standards

Qualification

  • Vocational diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience repairing laptops or other consumer electronics
  • Strong understanding of laptop hardware components, BIOS/UEFI, and basic motherboard repair concepts
  • Proficiency in installing and configuring Windows (and some Linux) operating systems, drivers, and software troubleshooting
  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new devices, and work well in a team in a dynamic Bali-based workplace
