Based in Seattle with hybrid options, you’ll collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to turn ambitious design visions into robust, scalable gameplay features.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of core gameplay systems across multiple platforms.
  • Architect and mentor code for gameplay features, AI, physics, animation, and combat mechanics.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate gameplay concepts into maintainable, high-performance code.
  • Set coding standards, review code, and ensure robust tooling for content creators and designers.
  • Profile and optimize performance to meet target frame rates and memory budgets.
  • Champion quality, test automation, and CI practices for gameplay components.
  • Plan and execute technical roadmaps, delivering features on time with clear trade-offs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional game development with strong C++ experience; familiarity with C# is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine with hands-on experience shipping titles; Unity experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in performance profiling, optimization, and memory management across PC and console platforms.
  • Solid understanding of gameplay programming patterns, AI, physics, networking, and tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; proven ability to lead a small team or feature area.
  • Passion for games, curiosity about new tech, and a drive to ship high-quality experiences.
