As a senior makeup artist, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality makeup artistry that aligns with client vision and brand standards, while maintaining impeccable hygiene and on‑set professionalism. You will contribute to portfolio development, mentor junior artists, and help drive client retention through exceptional service.

Responsibility

  • Consult with clients to understand vision, skin type, and preferences; provide professional recommendations and skincare prep.
  • On-set makeup application, touch-ups, and continuity management across shoots and events.
  • Maintain sanitation and hygiene protocols; organize tools and supply inventory; ensure product safety.
  • Collaborate with photographers, hairstylists, and wardrobe teams to achieve cohesive storytelling.
  • Attend portfolio shoots and contribute to social media and website content with before/after shots and behind-the-scenes materials.
  • Mentor junior artists and provide on-site coaching; share technique tips and product knowledge.
  • Upsell and manage client relationships to drive repeat bookings and referrals; maintain professional demeanor and time management.

Qualification

  • Proficient with a wide range of makeup techniques, skin types, color theory, and product knowledge across premium brands.
  • Strong on-set presence, communication, and client service skills; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Portfolio demonstrating editorial, bridal, and beauty looks with diverse models and lighting scenarios.
  • Certification in makeup artistry or cosmetology preferred; ongoing training and product updates.
  • Excellent sanitation, hygiene, and tool maintenance standards; knowledge of sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to travel to on-location shoots; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Team player with mentorship mindset and willingness to contribute to studio culture and growth.
