AF247 Fitness Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a passionate and member-focused Personal Trainer to join the Anytime Fitness Raja Uda studio in Butterworth, Penang. As a Personal Trainer, you will guide and educate members through tailored workouts, progressive programming, and safe exercise techniques. You will conduct initial assessments, establish realistic milestones, and monitor progress to ensure consistent results. Collaborating with a friendly team, you will design customized fitness plans for individuals and small groups, lead engaging training sessions, and demonstrate proper form with clear progressions. Your work will span strength, endurance, mobility, and functional training, all while staying current with industry best practices and safety guidelines. Beyond coaching, you will help with member engagement, retention, and creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere in the gym.

Qualifications include a recognized fitness certification such as CPT, NASM, or ACE and a current CPR First Aid certification. Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational skills are essential. A willingness to learn, adaptability, and a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness will help you succeed in this role.
Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and goal-setting sessions with clients.
- Design and deliver personalized training programs for individuals and small groups.
- Lead one-on-one and group training sessions, focusing on safe movement patterns and progressive overload.
- Demonstrate exercises with proper form and provide modifications to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Track client progress, adjust programming based on results, and maintain accurate records.
- Foster client relationships, motivate clients, and support lifestyle changes beyond the gym floor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped training space and ensure equipment is properly used and stored.
- Support member engagement and contribute to a positive studio culture and retention initiatives.
Qualification
- Certified personal trainer with an accredited program (CPT, NASM, ACE, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Proven coaching experience in fitness and client service; group fitness experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of exercise science, program design, and progression strategies.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and professional conduct.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the AF247 network.
