Responsibility
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls and incidents.
- Conduct thorough criminal investigations and gather evidence.
- Patrol assigned areas by vehicle or on foot to maintain public safety.
- Enforce city, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
- Engage with community members to build trust and foster positive relationships.
- Testify in court as required to support legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with public and private organizations to promote safety.
Qualification
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License.
- Clean criminal record and strong ethical standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass physical fitness and psychological assessments.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of police academy training.
