In this role, you will own the end-to-end enforcement lifecycle for graphic violence content from detection to decisioning and escalation. You will translate global guidelines into scalable regional operations, tailor multilingual workflows, and drive continuous improvements using data analytics, quality assurance, and stakeholder feedback. Your decisions will directly influence user experience, safety, and the responsible expression of ideas across diverse audiences.

As a people leader, you will recruit, develop, and mentor a diverse team of moderators, set clear performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high accuracy, empathy, and consistency. You will manage risk and incident response for high-impact cases, ensuring timely and transparent communication with internal partners and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to cross-functional initiatives, produce leadership-ready reports, and champion inclusive, user-centric policies that scale with global growth.

This role requires excellent collaboration across product, policy, legal, and trust and safety teams, with strong analytical capabilities and a bias toward action. Responsibility

  • Lead and scale a cross-language policy enforcement program for YouTube's graphic violence content in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
  • Develop and implement moderation guidelines in collaboration with policy and product teams.
  • Manage a team of moderators, set KPIs, provide coaching, and oversee quality assurance.
  • Analyze moderation data, identify trends, and drive operational improvements to reduce false positives and negatives.
  • Coordinate with legal and regional stakeholders to ensure compliance with local laws and platform commitments.
  • Lead incident response, risk assessment, and escalation processes for high-impact policy violations.
  • Drive multilingual workflows and tooling to support fast, accurate decisions at scale.
  • Communicate policy decisions and rationale to internal teams and external partners with clarity and transparency.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, policy, computer science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in policy enforcement, content moderation, or trust and safety in a major tech platform.
  • Strong leadership of diverse, multilingual teams; experience managing cross-functional programs.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Hindi and/ or Telugu is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills; ability to translate data into action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex policy concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with content moderation ethics, safety standards, and local/regional regulatory considerations.
