Responsibility
- Oversee all print production stages from prepress to delivery, ensuring on-time, on-spec outputs.
- Lead and coordinate with press operators, color management specialists, and vendors to optimize color accuracy and consistency.
- Manage prepress workflows, proof approvals, and file preparation to minimize errors and waste.
- Schedule production runs, monitor workloads, and adjust resources to meet client deadlines.
- Maintain equipment performance, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
- Enforce quality control standards and safety protocols across the shop floor.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to communicate timelines, risks, and changes to clients.
- Implement process improvements and automation to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on printing production experience in offset, digital, or flexo environments.
- Strong knowledge of color management (ICC profiles, calibration, proofing) and print workflows.
- Proficiency with prepress software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Enfocus PitStop) and RIP software.
- Experience in pressroom leadership, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Lean manufacturing or process improvement exposure is a plus.
- BA/BS in Printing Technology, Graphic Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; some weekend shifts may be required.
