In this role, you will be the first point of contact for safety and security matters across the hotel. You will manage access control, monitor CCTV, conduct patrols, and respond quickly to incidents. Your calm demeanor and professional appearance will help you de-escalate situations and maintain a secure environment without compromising guest experience. You will collaborate with front desk, housekeeping, engineering, and F&B teams to ensure safety procedures are followed and emergencies are handled efficiently.

Responsibility

  • Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft and ensure guest safety across all hotel areas, including lobby, corridors, outlets, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Manage access control and guest verification at entrances and restricted zones, while delivering courteous service to guests and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols, document security conditions, and promptly report hazards or incidents to the security lead and relevant departments.
  • Respond to alarms, medical emergencies, fires, or other incidents with calm, decisive action and according to hotel safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain safety and security standards without compromising guest experience.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain logs, and uphold privacy and data integrity according to hotel policies.
  • Assist guests with directions, information, and requests, ensuring a positive, professional guest experience while maintaining security protocols.

Qualification

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prior security, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years of security or frontline service experience; hotel experience is a plus.
  • Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure, de-escalate conflicts, and respond quickly to incidents.
  • Excellent personal presentation and a customer-service mindset aligned with Voco’s brand standards.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages commonly spoken in Singapore are a plus.
  • Basic first aid, CPR, and fire-safety knowledge or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Team player with reliability, integrity, and a proactive approach to safety.
