Stellar Analytics seeks a Senior Applied Mathematician to lead the development of rigorous mathematical models and computational tools that empower data-driven decisions across enterprise challenges. Responsibility
- Lead the design, implementation, and validation of mathematical models and numerical algorithms for large-scale data problems.
- Develop and optimize simulation tools, PDE-based models, and statistical methods to support product features and business insights.
- Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to integrate models into production-grade pipelines and platforms.
- Assess model risk, quantify uncertainty, and communicate results to executives and product teams.
- Mentor junior mathematicians and contribute to research publications, whitepapers, and internal knowledge sharing.
- Translate complex theory into clear, actionable requirements and documentation.
- Stay current with advances in applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and machine learning techniques relevant to the domain.
Qualification
- PhD or MS in Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience solving real-world problems with mathematical modeling and numerical computation.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy/SciPy), MATLAB, or Julia; strong data manipulation and visualization skills.
- Experience with PDEs, optimization, stochastic processes, and uncertainty quantification.
- Strong software engineering mindset: version control, testing, code review, and scalable performance considerations.
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of collaboration in cross-functional teams and delivering impact in a fast-paced environment.
