Northspire Audit Partners is seeking a results-driven Senior Auditor to join our Toronto team. You will lead strategic audits, strengthen internal controls, and provide actionable recommendations for clients across industries. Responsibility
- Plan, execute, and oversee financial, operational, and regulatory audits for diverse clients.
- Assess internal controls, perform risk assessments, and design efficient test procedures.
- Lead fieldwork, supervise junior staff, and review workpapers for quality and accuracy.
- Communicate findings to management, prepare comprehensive audit reports, and present results to client leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Identify process improvements, control enhancements, and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining adherence to professional standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional designation such as CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive internal or external auditing experience, preferably in professional services or industry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP; experience with SOX controls and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability in risk assessment, control design, and evidence-based testing.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and audit software; advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing, and presentation skills; ability to lead and mentor staff.
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30% as required.
