As a Creative Writer, you will work closely with editors, designers, and marketing teammates to develop fresh concepts, deliver polished copy on tight deadlines, and iterate based on feedback. This is a hybrid NYC-based role with potential for remote collaboration and flexible hours for a global audience.
Responsibility
- Develop original story concepts and long-form narratives across formats such as articles, features, brand stories, and scripts.
- Research, outline, and write high-quality content that aligns with client goals and brand voice.
- Edit and revise drafts based on feedback, ensuring clarity, voice, style, and SEO alignment.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and strategists to plan content calendars and publish-ready assets.
- Adapt writing for multiple channels including web, email, social, and video scripts while maintaining consistent voice.
- Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently with meticulous project tracking.
- Mentor junior writers and contribute to editorial guidelines and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional writing experience in content, journalism, or marketing; portfolio required.
- Exceptional storytelling ability with a versatile voice and the capacity to adapt to different brands.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy across long-form and short-form formats.
- Strong research skills and critical thinking; meticulous attention to detail and grammar.
- Experience with SEO best practices and content optimization; familiarity with CMS platforms.
- Excellent time management, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
