Job description
Aurora Narrative Studio is a boutique content agency that partners with forward-thinking brands to craft meaningful stories across platforms. We are seeking a Senior Creative Writer who can shape original concepts, develop brand voice, and deliver high-quality narratives for long- and short-form formats.
In this role, you will collaborate with editors, designers, and marketers to produce work that resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining consistent tone, accuracy, and polish across all deliverables. This is a hybrid, NYC-based opportunity with competitive compensation and a culture built on curiosity, craft, and collaboration.
What you will do is bring ideas to life—writing with clarity, nuance, and impact; tailoring messages for different formats; and helping our clients stand out through compelling storytelling.
Responsibility
- Develop original, high-quality content across formats, including long-form articles, case studies, scripts, and social video concepts.
- Establish and evolve brand voice guidelines to ensure consistency across all materials.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and marketers to produce engaging work that aligns with client goals.
- Conduct topic research, interviews, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Edit and revise drafts for clarity, tone, grammar, structure, and SEO alignment.
- Mentor junior writers and lead brainstorming sessions to generate compelling storytelling ideas.
- Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, English, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional writing experience with a demonstrated portfolio across long-form, short-form, and multi-format content.
- Excellent storytelling, editing, research, and communication skills.
- Experience with SEO writing, keyword intent, and audience development.
- Ability to adapt voice for diverse brands and audiences and to write concisely for different formats.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead workshops or editorial sessions.
- Familiarity with content management systems and style guides (AP or Chicago), plus keen attention to detail.
