Lumina Writing Co. is seeking a Senior Creative Writer to craft compelling stories, narrative experiences, and world-building for novels, serialized fiction, and branded content.
In this role, you'll collaborate with editors, product teams, and marketers to produce high-quality fiction and narrative content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Responsibility
- Develop original narratives, story arcs, character backstories, and world building for multiple formats including short fiction, serialized content, and brand campaigns.
- Translate client briefs into engaging, publish-ready content with a consistent voice and style.
- Edit and revise own work and provide constructive feedback on teammates' manuscripts.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, marketers, and product teams to ensure narrative alignment with brand goals.
- Research genres, subjects, and cultural contexts to ensure depth, accuracy, and sensitivity.
- Manage multiple projects with strict deadlines while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
- Mentor junior writers and contribute to tone and style guidelines for the organization.
Qualification
- 5+ years of professional writing experience with strong portfolio in fiction or narrative-driven content.
- Proven ability to craft compelling narratives across formats including short stories, serialized fiction, and brand storytelling.
- Strong authorial voice, versatility to adapt tone for different brands and audiences.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and copyediting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with world-building, character development, and plotting using classic structures (three-act, non-linear, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with writing tools and CMS, project management software, and collaborative workflows.
