Join Lumen Narrative Labs as a Senior Creative Writer and help shape our brand's voice across campaigns, articles, and social content. This is a full-time role with flexible remote options in Austin, TX.
We’re seeking a storyteller who can translate complex topics into clear, engaging narratives. You will work closely with Marketing, Product, and Editorial teams to develop content that educates, entertains, and converts.
What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and editorial teams to develop engaging narratives and content strategies that align with brand goals.
- Write clear, compelling long-form content (articles, whitepapers) and short-form copy (ad copy, social posts) across multiple platforms.
- Develop story concepts, characters, and voice for brand campaigns and product storytelling.
- Edit and polish drafts, ensuring grammar, tone, readability, SEO alignment, and brand consistency.
- Manage editorial calendar, deadlines, and coordination with freelancers or external editors.
- Conduct thorough research, verify facts, and stay current on industry trends to inform content decisions.
- Optimize content for search engines while maintaining natural, reader-friendly prose.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional writing experience in marketing, publishing, or brand storytelling.
- A robust portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples across long-form articles, narrative pieces, and copy.
- Excellent command of English grammar, tone adaptation, and editorial judgment.
- Strong research skills and the ability to distill complex topics for broad audiences.
- Experience with SEO best practices and keyword integration without compromising readability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML is a plus.
