We are seeking a Senior Food Quality & Compliance Manager to own and elevate our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure every product meets the highest safety and quality standards.
In this role you will lead cross-functional quality initiatives, partner with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to design robust processes, and coach teams across manufacturing sites. Responsibility
- Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation control, change management, non-conforming product handling, CAPA tracking, and risk assessment.
- Own HACCP, GMP, SQF/ISO 22000 compliance programs; lead internal and supplier audits and coordinate corrective actions across all facilities.
- Oversee product safety, allergen controls, recall readiness, and labeling accuracy across all SKUs and packaging formats.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to develop and qualify new products, validate shelf-life, and implement robust process controls.
- Lead supplier quality management: incoming goods qualification, supplier audits, CAPA with suppliers, and performance metrics.
- Build and deliver training programs on food safety, quality systems, and regulatory requirements; mentor and develop the quality team.
- Monitor quality metrics, perform data analysis, and present clear reports to executive leadership; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in food quality, food safety, or a manufacturing environment; leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF/ISO 22000; certifications such as ASQ CQA or CSP are beneficial.
- Proven experience with FDA/USDA regulatory requirements, audits, recalls, and CAPA/root-cause analysis.
- Proficiency with quality software (ERP/QMS), data analysis, and visualization tools; strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities; effective cross-functional leadership.
- Knowledge of allergen management, labeling compliance, and packaging safety; trained in incident investigation.
