HarborTech Industries is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Relations Manager to lead our labor relations strategy in the Americas. This is a high-impact role focused on building constructive relationships, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a collaborative workplace.

In this role, you will partner with executives, HR, operations, and unions to negotiate agreements, resolve disputes, and implement policies that support business objectives while protecting the rights of employees.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage collective bargaining negotiations and ratify labor agreements across multiple sites.
  • Advise on labor law compliance, risk assessment, and policy development.
  • Develop and implement workforce relations strategies to improve engagement and reduce grievances.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and operations to resolve disputes and grievances promptly.
  • Analyze labor trends, metrics, and risk to inform executive decision-making.
  • Coach managers on performance management, discipline, and correct procedures while ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Lead grievance resolution processes and negotiate settlements when needed.
  • Manage relationships with unions, internal stakeholders, and external counsel.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of industrial relations experience in manufacturing or multi-site operations with union exposure.
  • Deep knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining practices.
  • Proven track record of negotiating agreements and resolving disputes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; fluency in English; multilingual a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, think strategically, and demonstrate high integrity.
