GlobalBridge Industries is seeking a Senior Industrial Relations Manager to lead our labor relations strategy across manufacturing and operations. This role partners with executive leadership to shape policies, negotiate with unions, and foster a culture of compliant, high-performing workplaces.
The ideal candidate combines deep IR expertise with strong business acumen and a track record of delivering results in complex, unionized environments. You will influence policy, manage risk, and coach leaders to navigate sensitive employee relations matters with fairness and integrity.
Responsibility
- Lead strategic labor relations initiatives, including collective bargaining and contract negotiations with unions.
- Provide expert guidance on policy development and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Develop and implement proactive employee relations programs to improve engagement and reduce grievances.
- Manage union relationships, grievance procedures, and arbitrations with internal counsel and external counsel as needed.
- Analyze workforce data and metrics to inform labor strategy and risk mitigation.
- Partner with HR, operations, and safety leaders to align IR strategy with business goals.
- Coach managers on performance management, discipline, and accommodation processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field; MBA or JD preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial or labor relations, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Proven success in collective bargaining, contract negotiations, and grievance resolution.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., NLRA, FLSA, OSHA) and compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with HRIS and analytics; ability to translate data into strategy and action.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
