Join NexaForge Technologies as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel. In this pivotal in-house role, you will steer the strategy, protection, and monetization of our innovative technology portfolio across patents, trademarks, and related IP assets. You will partner with R&D, product, and business leaders to guard competitive advantage while enabling strategic collaborations.

Responsibility
- Lead development of the company IP strategy for patents, trademarks, and trade secrets to maximize value and defensibility.
- Manage patent prosecution lifecycle including drafting, filing, office action responses, and coordination with outside counsel.
- Oversee trademark clearance, registration, maintenance, and enforcement; develop brand protection programs.
- Negotiate and draft licensing agreements, technology transfer, collaboration agreements, and open source policies.
- Conduct IP due diligence for M&A, partnerships, and funding rounds; assess freedom to operate and risk.
- Partner with R&D, product, and business teams to identify IP risks and opportunities; provide training and governance on IP best practices.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to the New York Bar or eligible for admission.
- 6+ years of demonstrated IP experience with a focus on patent prosecution, trademark, and licensing; in-house or top-tier law firm environment.
- Strong drafting and prosecution track record; experience with software, hardware, or biotech tech sectors is a plus.
- Proficiency with IP management systems and familiarity with FTO analyses; ability to synthesize complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills; able to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
