NovaForge Analytics is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to advance mathematical modeling across finance and technology domains. This is a full-time role based in Cambridge, MA with hybrid options for collaboration and flexible schedules.
As a member of the research team you will translate theoretical mathematics into robust, production capable models. You will work with data scientists, software engineers and domain experts to deliver measurable business impact through forecasting, pricing, risk assessment and optimization.

Responsibility
- Lead development of advanced mathematical models and numerical methods for forecasting, pricing, risk management, or optimization.
- Design and implement algorithms and simulations that scale across large data sets and live systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate models from theory to production code.
- Validate models through rigorous testing, backtesting, and statistical analysis; communicate results with clear visuals.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and open science.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and reproducibility; participate in code reviews.
- Stay current with mathematical research and industry trends; present findings to stakeholders.
Qualification
- PhD in applied mathematics, statistics, operations research or related field, or a strong master with relevant research track record.
- Expertise in numerical analysis, linear algebra, differential equations, optimization, and stochastic processes.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy), R, and MATLAB; experience with C++ is a plus.
- Experience with machine learning methods and data driven modeling.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills; ability to work across disciplines.
- Proven track record of publications, conference presentations or patents; ability to translate theory into practice.
- Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams in fast paced environments.
