Job description
StatNova Analytics is seeking a Senior Statistician to lead advanced statistical modeling, experimental design, and data-driven decision making across product and research teams. You will build rigorous models, validate assumptions, and communicate insights to stakeholders with clarity.
In this role, you will partner with data engineers, product managers, and business leaders to translate complex data into actionable strategies that drive growth and quality outcomes.
Responsibility
- Lead statistical modeling, forecasting, and inference across multiple projects with autonomy and rigor.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments (A/B/n tests) to optimize products and processes.
- Develop and validate predictive models using traditional and Bayesian approaches (Stan, PyMC3).
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, reproducibility, and scalable pipelines.
- Communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders through clear visuals and storytelling.
- Mentor junior statisticians and promote best practices in reproducible research and code quality.
- Contribute to the development of company-wide analytics standards and dashboards.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience in statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Proficiency in R and Python; strong SQL skills.
- Experience with Bayesian methods and tools (Stan, PyMC3) and frequentist approaches.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and communicating results to stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and version control (Git).
