Join Nexis Analytics, a premier data science firm focused on healthcare and life sciences. We are seeking a Senior Statistician to lead advanced statistical analyses, shape study designs, and deliver insights that drive strategic decisions.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with biostatisticians, data scientists, and domain experts to translate complex results into actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end statistical analyses for clinical trials and observational studies, delivering robust conclusions.
- Design experiments and studies with robust power calculations and bias mitigation strategies.
- Develop and validate statistical models (linear/mixed models, survival analysis, Bayesian methods).
- Ensure reproducible workflows using R, Python, and version control; document methods and assumptions.
- Communicate results to non-technical stakeholders through clear visuals and concise reports.
- Mentor junior statisticians and support data governance and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform product strategy, policy decisions, and client recommendations.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and audit-ready documentation when applicable.
Qualification
- PhD or MSc in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in statistical analysis within healthcare, pharma, or life sciences.
- Proficiency in R and Python; experience with SAS is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, survival analysis, mixed effects models, and Bayesian methods.
- Excellent data visualization and communication skills; ability to translate complex results for diverse audiences.
- Experience with clinical trial design, regulatory concepts (FDA/EMA) is a plus; familiarity with data governance.
