NovaMetrics Analytics is a leader in applied statistics and data science, delivering actionable insights to Fortune 500 clients. We are seeking a Senior Statistician to join our Boston office to design experiments, build predictive models, and communicate results to non technical stakeholders.
In this role you will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure rigorous methodology and reproducible results. You will own end to end statistical analysis projects, from problem framing to presenting insights.
Responsibilities include leading statistical analyses, designing experiments, selecting appropriate models, validating results, and creating robust documentation. You will mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in modeling and inference.

Responsibility
- Lead and execute statistical analyses for complex business problems, ensuring methodological rigor and replicability.
- Design and analyze experiments and quasi experiments, including A/B tests and randomized trials.
- Develop and validate predictive models using regression, classification, survival analysis, and Bayesian methods.
- Collaborate with data engineers to source, clean, and prepare data with appropriate quality checks.
- Communicate results to stakeholders through clear visuals and actionable recommendations.
- Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to the team's best practices and code reviews.
- Document methodologies, code, and results to ensure reproducibility and compliance with governance standards.
- Contribute to the development of robust dashboards and reporting pipelines.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of applied statistics experience in industry or academia.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, hypothesis testing, and power analysis.
- Proficiency in R and Python; experience with SQL and data wrangling.
- Experience with Bayesian methods and probabilistic programming is a plus.
- Experience with SAS or other statistical software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex results for non technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
