NovaStat Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Statistician to join our growing team in New York. You will apply rigorous statistical methods to real world business questions, influence product strategy, and mentor junior analysts.

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and validate statistical models to answer business questions and optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, accessibility, and reproducibility.
- Clean, explore, and summarize large datasets; perform exploratory data analysis and diagnostic checks.
- Develop and test hypotheses, perform power analysis, and run rigorous experiments.
- Present clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of analytics best practices.
- Document methodologies and maintain reproducible research workflows.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of professional statistical analysis experience in industry or academia.
- Proficiency in R and Python for data analysis and modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data wrangling in large databases.
- Experience with Bayesian methods and probabilistic programming is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Track record of delivering impact through data-driven recommendations.
