We are seeking a Senior Statistician to join our expanding statistics practice in San Francisco. This role blends advanced statistical modeling with real-world business impact and requires a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
As a Senior Statistician, you will design and execute high-quality analyses, translate complex results into actionable recommendations, and mentor junior team members. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape experimental design, measurement, and inference strategies that drive product and business decisions.

Responsibility
- Lead complex statistical analyses (A/B tests, quasi-experiments, regression modeling, time-series) to inform product strategy and business decisions.
- Design robust experiments and observational studies, including power calculations and sample size planning.
- Develop and validate predictive models, with a focus on generalizability and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to implement scalable analytics solutions in production environments.
- Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders through clear data storytelling and visuals.
- Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to the growth of the statistics practice.
- Contribute to best-practice guidelines for statistical methods, reporting, and documentation.
Qualification
- Masterβs or PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of applied statistical experience in industry or research settings.
- Strong expertise in R and Python, with experience in SAS or SQL as a plus.
- Proven track record with experimental design, causal inference, Bayesian methods, and machine learning basics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex results into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
