Responsibility
- Lead statistical analyses for product, marketing, and customer analytics initiatives, applying regression, time-series, Bayesian, and experimental design methods.
- Design and run experiments (A/B and multi-armed tests), power analyses, and causal inference studies.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines, data quality, and reproducible workflows.
- Build and maintain statistical models and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and business outcomes.
- Translate complex findings into clear narratives and present recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Mentor junior analysts, review code and methods, and contribute to best-practice standards for statistical analysis.
- Contribute to data governance, documentation, and reproducible research practices.
Qualification
- Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a quantitative field.
- 5+ years of hands-on statistical analysis experience in industry or research settings.
- Proficiency in R or Python for statistical modeling; strong SQL skills.
- Experience with SAS is a plus; knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or ggplot).
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression, time-series, and Bayesian methods.
- Ability to translate data findings into business decisions; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Git and reproducible research practices; comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to be in the San Francisco area for occasional in-office collaborations.
