Join VA Masters as a Social Media Video Editor
VA Masters is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Video Editor to help us craft compelling short-form video content across our social channels. This part-time role is ideal for a storyteller who thrives on turning raw footage into thumb-stopping videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. Based in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, you will work closely with our marketing and design teams to produce high-quality assets that strengthen our brand presence and drive engagement.
As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for transforming briefs into polished videos that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals. You will contribute to content planning, apply color grading and sound design, add on-screen text and motion graphics, and ensure each deliverable meets platform specifications. Responsibility
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished social media videos (15-60 seconds) tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
- Apply brand guidelines, color grading, typography, transitions, and motion graphics to every project.
- Write or edit on-screen captions, subtitles, and optimized audio to maximize accessibility and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan content and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
- Deliver final files in platform-appropriate formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios; ensure timely delivery and version control.
- Source or select stock footage, music, and sound effects that enhance storytelling while respecting licensing requirements.
- Maintain an organized project library, manage assets, and incorporate feedback quickly to improve future outputs.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a video editor for social media; portfolio or showreel required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; basic motion graphics skills are a plus.
- Strong storytelling ability and a keen sense of pacing for short-form content.
- Knowledge of social media best practices, captioning, accessibility, and platform-specific formats.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to adapt tone and style across campaigns.
- Basic color grading and audio editing skills to ensure polished final products.
