We’re seeking a results-driven Sports Coach to join Peak Performance Sports Academy in New York, NY. This full-time role blends youth development with competitive program leadership, delivering structured training, performance feedback, and safe coaching practices.
As a key member of our coaching team, you’ll design evidence-based training plans, run engaging group sessions, monitor athlete progress, and mentor junior coaches. You’ll collaborate with program directors to align curricula with sport-specific standards and community outreach goals.
Responsibility
- Design and implement comprehensive training plans for youth and elite athletes
- Lead daily coaching sessions, drills, and conditioning programs
- Monitor athlete development through metrics, video analysis, and regular feedback
- Collaborate with program directors to refine curricula and season plans
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating training environment
- Mentor and onboard junior coaches and assistants
- Coordinate clinics, camps, and community outreach events
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Current coaching certification in the relevant sport (e.g., US National Coaching Certification or equivalent)
- Minimum 2–4 years of coaching experience with youth and/or competitive athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification and knowledge of injury prevention
- Strong communication, leadership, and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to design age-appropriate, progressional training plans and track performance
- Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and camps
- Interest in community engagement and athlete development
