You will be part of a dynamic accounting group supporting US-based clients. At GSC, you will handle essential tax activities including preparation and review of US federal and state returns, tax provision support, and proactive research on evolving tax laws. Responsibility
- Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships (forms 1040, 1120/1120S, 1065, and related schedules).
- Assist with US tax provisions and ASC 740 compliance, including rollforwards and reconciliations.
- Conduct tax research on complex issues and communicate findings with clear recommendations.
- Compute and document tax planning strategies for clients, including credits, deductions, and year-end opportunities.
- Coordinate with tax software and data sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely filing.
- Support audits and respond to IRS/state notices with well-documented explanations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (accounting, payroll, legal) to ensure accurate tax reporting and filings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US tax laws, deadlines, and regulatory changes relevant to clients.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on US tax accounting experience, including individual and corporate tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax codes, forms (1040, 1120/1120S, 1065), and tax compliance processes.
- Proficiency in tax software and data analytics; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, modeling).
- Excellent research, written and verbal communication, and ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills; comfortable working in a hybrid, location-based role with time-shift requirements.
- Ability to work with clients across multiple time zones and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
