Capital Dynamics is seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. This in-house role focuses exclusively on producing high quality video content that informs, engages, and inspires across internal and external channels. You will collaborate closely with producers, designers, and marketing teammates to craft compelling stories that align with brand guidelines and business objectives.
As our Video Editor you will own the end-to-end post production process from ingest to final deliverables. You should be proficient with industry standard software and stay current with new techniques to elevate video quality. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include editing corporate videos, product launches, social content, and event coverage, with outputs optimized for web, social, and internal communications. You will create engaging lower thirds, titles and simple motion graphics to reinforce messaging, while maintaining brand consistency and accessibility standards. A collaborative mindset and effective communication with cross functional teams are essential to success in this role.

Responsibility
- Edit and assemble raw footage into high quality video content for campaigns, corporate communications, social media, and internal videos.
- Collaborate with producers, designers, and marketing teams to develop storytelling concepts from script to final cut.
- Oversee post production workflow including rough cuts, color grading, audio mixing, and final export in multiple formats and aspect ratios.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, lower thirds, title cards, and simple visual effects using After Effects or equivalent.
- Manage media assets, project versions, and delivery schedules to ensure on time distribution across platforms.
- Ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and quality standards across all video outputs.
- Optimize videos for web and social channels including SEO-friendly thumbnails and captions.
- Stay current with industry trends and software updates to continuously improve video quality and efficiency.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; solid color grading skills
- Experience with audio editing, mixing, and basic sound design
- Strong storytelling ability with keen sense of pacing and rhythm
- Familiarity with motion graphics and typography; ability to create simple graphics
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally in a fast paced environment
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality work
