Join BrightFuture Outreach as a Volunteer Coordinator in Seattle. This part-time role places you at the heart of our community programs, helping to empower local residents and support impactful initiatives. You will collaborate with staff, partners, and volunteers to deliver high-quality service and meaningful experiences.
As a member of our volunteer team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in program coordination, event planning, and community engagement, all while making a tangible difference.
Responsibility
- Coordinate and execute community service projects from planning to completion
- Recruit, screen, onboard, and support volunteers to maintain an engaged team
- Collaborate with partner organizations to design inclusive programs meeting community needs
- Oversee logistics for events, including scheduling, venues, materials, and safety compliance
- Track attendance and measure program impact; prepare simple reports for leadership
- Provide exceptional volunteer experience through clear communication and support
- Assist with donor and sponsor communications and recognition when appropriate
Qualification
- Passion for community service and helping others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Experience planning events or coordinating volunteers is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills; familiarity with spreadsheets and CRM is a plus
- Availability to commit to scheduled volunteer shifts (e.g., 4-8 hours/week)
- Fluency in English; additional languages welcome
