Responsibility
- Lead and manage independent research projects within the assigned domain, including experimental design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Collaborate with faculty, postdocs, and graduate students to develop research plans and coordinate interdisciplinary studies.
- Prepare progress reports, maintain rigorous lab notebooks, ensure reproducibility, and manage data storage and sharing.
- Oversee grant-funded activities, assist with grant applications, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements.
- Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods and software (Python, R, MATLAB); develop reproducible workflows.
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals; present findings at internal seminars and external conferences.
- Mentor junior researchers; contribute to teaching activities and academic service, and participate in grant writing.
Qualification
- PhD in a relevant field (or nearing completion) with a strong publication record.
- Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and R; experience with MATLAB or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with grant writing or managing research projects is preferred.
- Commitment to responsible conduct of research and data management best practices.
