Responsibility

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in general ledger maintenance and timely month-end closing for assigned entities or client portfolios.
  • Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior accounting staff; establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements; coordinate audits and statutory filings.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, and intercompany reconciliations while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity across finance operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders; deliver timely, insightful financial reporting.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, with exposure to Malaysian statutory reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of MFRS and tax compliance basics; attention to detail and high ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; demonstrated mentoring or leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to commute to Seremban or work in the Seremban area; team player with a proactive mindset.
  • Experience with audits, statutory reporting, and stakeholder coordination is preferred.
