EMAPTA is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team remotely from Metro Manila. This full-time role offers a night shift schedule, work-from-home setup, Day 1 health insurance (HMO), and weekends off, enabling a healthy work-life balance. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting, support month-end close, ensure accuracy in financial records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cash flow and collections in the construction sector. You will work with our global clients, maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with local regulations and GAAP.
As an Accountant with EMAPTA, you will be part of a dynamic finance team delivering high-quality financial information to project managers and senior leadership. Responsibility
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate posting.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and cash flow forecasting.
- Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjustments.
- Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports for internal stakeholders.
- Reconcile the general ledger and ensure integrity of sub-ledgers and intercompany balances.
- Monitor collections, assist with credit controls, and pursue timely payments from customers.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory reporting, and GAAP principles.
- Collaborate with project teams in construction to track costs, profitability, and project-based accounting.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience; experience in construction or project-based industries is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting software; ability to generate reports.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and local Philippines financial regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work independently in a night shift, remote setup.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with collections and cash flow management is an advantage.
