Private Advertiser is seeking a seasoned Accounting Officer to join our finance team in Manila City, Metro Manila. This full-time role emphasizes BIR tax filing and general accounting, offering a stable career path, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and file BIR tax returns and ensure full regulatory compliance with Philippine tax laws and schedules.
- Assist month-end close processes, produce financial statements (income statement, balance sheet) and management reports.
- Maintain complete and accurate supplier, customer, and intercompany ledgers; manage coding, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
- Monitor VAT, withholding taxes, and other statutory obligations; coordinate with government agencies as needed.
- Support internal controls improvement and process optimization to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit readiness.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience; prior BIR filing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations (BIR, VAT, withholding tax).
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or similar systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and time-management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates with CPA certification are preferred but not required.
