The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, mentor a talented team, collaborate with hotel leadership, and partner with corporate finance to align with Marriott's standards and local regulations. You will be the cornerstone of accurate financial data that informs operational decisions and strategic plans.
As the chief custodian of the hotel's financial records, you will manage the general ledger, supervise accounts payable and receivable, and drive a disciplined month-end close process. You will monitor cash flow, prepare accurate forecasts, and support annual budgeting and variance analysis. Your leadership will ensure strong internal controls, compliance with GAAP, and adherence to local tax requirements. In this role, you will also work closely with department heads to optimize cost controls, revenue recognition, and asset management, while upholding Marriott's commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibility
- Lead and oversee all hotel accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with Marriott standards and local regulations.
- Maintain robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Coordinate with the Finance Manager and hotel leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities; monitor cash flow and working capital.
- Collaborate with Revenue, Operations, and Purchasing teams to optimize cost controls, procurement processes, and revenue recognition.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred or active CPA candidate.
- 4-6 years of accounting experience in hospitality/hotel operations; prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and familiarity with hotel operations software (PMS/POS) is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills; proven ability to coach and develop a team.
- English fluency required; ability to work in a dynamic resort environment with a flexible schedule.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and partner with non-finance stakeholders.
