As part of the accounts team, you will be responsible for maintaining ledgers, processing transactions, preparing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of the general ledger, and assisting with month-end close. You will interact with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies, support budgeting and forecasting, and participate in internal control activities. Responsibility
- Process and record day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet analysis.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support internal controls, audit preparations, and compliance with statutory regulations (GST/VAT, etc.).
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations.
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in SMEs or manufacturing/retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software; experience with SAP/Oracle or similar systems is a plus.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Knowledge of GST/VAT regulations and statutory reporting requirements (Singapore).
