Responsibility
- Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial reporting across life and health insurance products.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, and finance teams to translate business needs into robust analytical solutions.
- Support valuation and financial reporting, including experience studies, embedded value, and IFRS/GAAP considerations where applicable.
- Prepare documentation for internal stakeholders and external regulators; explain complex methodologies in clear terms.
- Assist in monitoring key performance indicators, risk metrics, and model governance controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Continuously improve model efficiency, data quality, and automation using advanced analytics tools.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; pursuing or completed actuarial exams (SOA or CAS) is a strong asset.
- Strong foundation in actuarial modeling, probability, statistics, and financial mathematics.
- Proficiency in R or Python, SQL, and advanced Excel; experience with actuarial software (Prophet, APEX, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with pricing, reserving, or valuation projects; exposure to health or life insurance preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
