Responsibility

  • Conduct actuarial valuations and model risk exposures across product lines.

  • Develop pricing assumptions for new and existing products.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with risk management on capital models and financial forecasting.

  • Analyze large data sets using R, Python and SQL to support insights and decision making.
  • \n
  • Prepare actuarial reports for stakeholders and regulatory submissions.

  • Assist with regulatory filings and reporting obligations.
  • \n
  • Support senior actuaries with model validation and scenario testing.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; enrolled in actuarial exams (CERA, SOA or FIA) is preferred.

  • 2-4 years of actuarial experience in life, health or P&C insurance.
  • \n
  • Strong proficiency in R, Python, SQL and data visualization; experience with actuarial software such as Prophet or SAS is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills; ability to explain complex topics to non specialists.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
