Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Admin Accounting contractor to join Pengiklan Anonim in Medan Barat, North Sumatra. In this role, you will support data entry and daily bookkeeping, transforming raw financial transactions into accurate records that fuel informed business decisions. You will be a key contributor to our small finance team, maintaining data integrity, ensuring timely processing, and upholding strong internal controls. Your day-to-day work will involve precise data entry, transaction processing, and ongoing maintenance of the general ledger. You will assist with monthly close tasks, reconcile accounts, monitor cash activity, and prepare routine financial reports. You will also help organize both digital and physical filing systems to ensure audit readiness, and support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Responsibility

  • Accurate data entry of invoices, receipts, and payments into the accounting system
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including vendor communications
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities with accurate reconciliation and reporting
  • Assist in bank reconciliation and cash position monitoring
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records for audit readiness
  • Support budgeting and variance analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping processes and efficiency

Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry or bookkeeping (entry-level candidates welcomed)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and at least one accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or local equivalents)
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and financial controls
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills in Indonesian; basic English is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team
