EGIS Healthcare Technologies is seeking an Application Specialist (IT Engineer) to join our Singapore team. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining medical and healthcare software application systems that empower clinicians, administrators, and patients to deliver high-quality care.
As a key member of our technology team in the Central Region, you will help ensure high availability, performance, and security across mission-critical healthcare applications. You will collaborate with clinical staff, IT operations, and vendor partners to implement changes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continual improvement of workflows and interfaces. In this role, you will monitor application health, apply patches, manage configurations, assist with system upgrades, and assist with user access and security governance. You will participate in integration efforts with electronic health records and other healthcare systems, ensuring data integrity and smooth data exchange. You will also contribute to training materials and deliver user-focused education to clinicians and staff. Responsibility
- Provide day-to-day support for healthcare software applications, including issue triage, troubleshooting, and incident resolution to minimize downtime.
- Monitor, maintain, and patch medical software to ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with clinicians, administrative staff, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement configuration changes to optimize clinical workflows.
- Manage user access, roles, and data privacy in alignment with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, testing, and post-implementation validation.
- Support integration with EHRs, HL7 interfaces, and other third-party systems to enable seamless data exchange.
- Document processes, create user guides, and provide hands-on training for end users and IT peers.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a healthcare IT-related field; professional certifications are a plus (eg ITIL, HL7, or security frameworks).
- Experience supporting healthcare software applications or clinical IT environments in Singapore or similar markets.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards, privacy regulations, and security best practices.
- Awareness of SQL basics and data reporting; ability to run queries and interpret results.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore and willingness to participate in regional initiatives as needed.
