Job description

JDE Peet's is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Architectural Assistant to join our design team in Singapore. You will support a broad range of major industrial facilities and retail environments, helping translate strategic concepts into precise drawings, models, and documentation. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to work on modern projects within a global coffee brand and a collaborative, design‑forward culture.

As an Architectural Assistant, you will contribute to concept development, technical drafting, and the preparation of presentation and construction documents. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and external consultants to ensure design integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery. You will also assist with BIM processes, CAD work, and 3D visualization, helping the team explore options and refine solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.

Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑driven, and eager to learn across disciplines. You will benefit from mentorship, a supportive design community, and exposure to international standards. This is a hands‑on role designed for a motivated individual who wants to grow within a global brand and contribute to high‑impact projects.

Responsibility

  • Assist in creating and updating architectural drawings, layouts, and models for industrial and retail facilities using CAD and BIM tools.
  • Support concept design development, schematic layouts, and documentation packages for project approvals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure accuracy, coherence, and timely delivery of drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D deliverables, including plans, sections, elevations, and as‑built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements; participate in quality control and redline reviews.
  • Contribute to site visits, measurements, and surveys; assist in developing as‑builts and verification drawings.
  • Manage file organization, version control, and project documentation in a shared repository.
  • Support tender and construction documentation packages and assist with BIM coordination and clash detection, as needed.

Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in architectural drafting, detailing, and documentation; experience with industrial or commercial projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other BIM/CAD tools; basic 3D visualization skills.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, safety standards, sustainability principles, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Strong drawing and visualization abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Portfolio or examples of architectural drawings or models (as requested).
