Harborview Capital Partners is a premier financial services firm focused on comprehensive asset valuation and strategic advisory for institutional clients. We seek a skilled Asset Valuation Analyst to join our New York team and drive rigorous valuation analyses across real assets, businesses, and intangible assets. You will build robust models, provide actionable insights, and support critical investment and advisory decisions.
In this role, you will collaborate with investment teams, risk managers, and clients to ensure transparent methodologies, compliant reporting, and data-driven outcomes. The ideal candidate has deep experience with valuation methodologies, strong technical skills, and a client-first mindset.
Responsibility
- Lead and implement asset valuation analyses across real estate, businesses, and intangible assets using methodologies such as DCF, market comps, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches.
- Develop, maintain, and audit complex valuation models in Excel, Python, and SQL; ensure model governance and reproducibility.
- Prepare high-quality valuation reports and presentations for investment committees, clients, and regulatory bodies; articulate assumptions and sensitivities clearly.
- Conduct market research and data collection; maintain data integrity and update databases for ongoing valuations.
- Collaborate with deal teams on M&A, financing, and asset disposition initiatives; provide valuation insights to inform negotiation and risk assessment.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses; stress-test valuation outputs under varying macro and microeconomic conditions.
- Mentor junior analysts, promote best practices in valuation, and ensure documentation and audit trails are maintained.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field; CFA, ASA, or MRICS is a plus; 5+ years of valuation experience preferred.
- Proficiency in valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, asset-based valuation) and IFRS/GAAP reporting.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills; experience with Python, SQL, or R; familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in financial services, investment banking, asset management, or corporate valuations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
