Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive valuations for tangible and financial assets, including real estate, equipment, portfolios, and intellectual property.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models (DCF, scenario analysis, sensitivity tests) to support asset decisions.
- Perform impairment testing, fair value measurements, and reserve analyses in alignment with IFRS 13 and ASC 820.
- Collect, clean, and analyze market data; benchmark valuations against peers; prepare thorough valuation reports.
- Collaborate with investment, risk, and finance teams to ensure accurate asset accounting and transparent reporting.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations; ensure audit-ready processes and controls.
- Present valuation findings to stakeholders, explain key drivers, and propose actionable recommendations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- 3-6 years of asset valuation, financial forecasting, or investment analytics experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
- Experience with IFRS 13, ASC 820, impairment testing, and fair value measurements.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong data management and research skills; familiarity with data sources such as S&P Global, Bloomberg, or CapIQ is a plus.
