Premier Asset Advisory is a leading firm in risk-adjusted value creation for corporate and financial clients. We are seeking a meticulous Asset Valuation Analyst to join our NYC team. This role combines rigorous financial modeling, market intelligence, and independent judgment to deliver credible, defensible valuations for diverse asset classes including real estate, infrastructure, and intangible assets.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform investment strategies, financial reporting, impairment analyses, and decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
What you will do
Responsibility
- Prepare and audit detailed valuation models for real assets and financial instruments, incorporating market data, cash flow projections, and risk adjustments.
- Conduct scenario analyses, sensitivity testing, and Monte Carlo simulations to benchmark asset values under varied market conditions.
- Lead data gathering and quality checks from internal and external sources to ensure valuation accuracy and audit readiness.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and compliance with relevant standards (IFRS, US GAAP, or local equivalents) in valuation reports.
- Present valuation findings to senior leadership and clients with clear, concise interpretations and recommendations.
- Support impairment testing, purchase price allocations, and fair value disclosures for financial statements.
- Maintain up-to-date market intelligence on real assets, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting valuations.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements in valuation workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in asset valuation, financial modeling, or investment analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, plus experience with valuation software and data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Solid understanding of valuation standards (IFRS 13, FASB ASC 820) and impairment testing concepts.
- Ability to interpret complex data, build robust models, and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project-management skills.
- Professional certifications (CFA, ASA, FRICS) are a plus.
- Experience valuing real estate, infrastructure, or intangible assets is highly desirable.
