Join EMAPTA as an Assistant Accountant — a pivotal role within our finance team responsible for delivering accurate and timely accounting support for AU clients. As a core member of the accounting function, you will manage key processes across the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assist with month-end close. You will work closely with AU clients to ensure timely invoicing, accurate posting of journal entries, and reconciliations of bank and cash accounts. Your contributions will help produce reliable financial statements, support audit activities, and maintain compliance with local standards. Responsibility
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable for AU clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Post journal entries and adjustments, including accruals and deferrals, to the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts; monitor discrepancies and resolve variances.
- Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of concise financial statements for AU clients.
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules; ensure data integrity.
- Support external audits and tax/compliance activities by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and deliver accurate financial information on time.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a shared services or outsourcing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and basic tax concepts.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (for example Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
