Responsibility

  • Coordinate and prepare statutory reporting, including auditor reports and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and on-time filing.
  • Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and management reports with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee tax compliance, computations, and documentation; stay current on Malaysia tax laws and filing requirements.
  • Compile transfer pricing documentation and maintain compliance with TP regulations; respond to tax authorities as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting processes (AP, AR, GL) and ensure strong internal controls and policy adherence.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and collaboration across finance teams, driving process improvements and data accuracy.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CA/ACCA/CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in Malaysia or a multinational environment.
  • Solid knowledge of statutory reporting, corporate tax, and accounting standards; familiarity with transfer pricing is a plus.
  • Proven experience with tax compliance, audits, and dealing with tax authorities.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail; capable of working independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual in English and Malay is preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and uphold high ethical standards.
