Seatrium invites applications for an Assistant Data Processing Engineer to join our growing data team in Singapore. If you are passionate about turning raw data into trusted insights, building robust ETL pipelines, and ensuring data quality across multiple domains, this is the role for you.
As an integral part of our Information and Technology team, you will collaborate with data engineers, business analysts and operations. You will design, implement and maintain data processing workflows that ingest data from diverse sources, transform it into usable formats, and load it into data repositories used by stakeholders across the organization. You will monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize performance to support timely decision making.

Responsibility
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines to process data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data processing solutions.
- Monitor data quality and implement validation checks, error handling, and data cleansing procedures.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes using SQL, Python, and relevant ETL tools.
- Participate in data modeling, data warehousing, and metadata management initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure data governance and security standards are met.
- Document data flows, pipelines, and technical specifications for maintainability.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data processing issues in a production environment.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science or a related field
- Strong foundations in SQL and data manipulation; experience with Python or R for data processing is preferred
- Familiarity with ETL concepts, data integration, and data quality techniques
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and basic data modeling
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple data projects simultaneously
- Interest in learning about marine or energy sectors is a plus
