Job description

Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team in Orchard, Central Region. In this role you will lead the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort across guest rooms, public areas and laundry operations. You will contribute to a seamless guest experience in a fast paced hospitality environment where attention to detail, teamwork and proactive problem solving are rewarded.

As part of our commitment to guest satisfaction you will oversee quality control, supervise and train the housekeeping team, coordinate daily cleaning schedules, and manage inventory and par levels for cleaning supplies. You will enforce safety and hygiene protocols, work closely with front desk and maintenance teams to resolve issues, and contribute to inspections and reporting that support continuous improvement and cost effectiveness. Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage the housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, ensuring continuity of daily operations.
  • Lead, train and supervise a team of housekeeping attendants to uphold service standards and safety practices.
  • Ensure quality control across guest rooms, public areas, laundry and back of house spaces; conduct regular inspections and address deficiencies.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning schedules, room turnover and special cleaning tasks to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory, par levels and procurement of cleaning supplies; work with vendors to maintain stock levels.
  • Enforce health safety and hygiene protocols and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Maintenance and Food and Beverage teams to resolve issues and fulfill guest requests promptly.
  • Support cost control and sustainability initiatives including energy and water conservation to optimize operational efficiency.

Qualification

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in hospitality with a track record of leading teams.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop a diverse team and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Excellent eye for detail with a focus on cleanliness and guest comfort.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with guests and colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping management systems, inventory tracking and standard operating procedures.
  • Flexible to work shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
  • Diploma or higher in Hospitality Hotel Management or related field is preferred.
  • Commitment to safety sanitation and quality standards.
